What is STAGING?

Staging is preparing your home to sell in the shortest amount of time for the most money. It is de-cluttering, neutralizing, and making the house look presentable to the most amount of people.

Low-Cost Ways to Stage your home:

·         Get rid of any household items that will not be moving with you.

·         Seasonal clothing should be removed from closets.

·         Put away those toys.

·         Trim trees and bushes and open up the view to your home.

·         Welcome people with a new door mat and varnish or paint the front door.

·         Put pots of bright flowers on the porch or small evergreens.

·         New doorknobs will give all your doors a new look.

·         Coat your driveway and bring back the newness.

·         Give landscaping a new look with edging and new plants or bushes.

·         Hide all your tools, especially a water vacuum and plunger.

·         New or polished house numbers and a new mailbox will accent your home

·         New outside lighting will welcome buyers and add a security feature.

·         Clean out the gutters.

·         Clean or replace those carpets.

·         Have drapes cleaned and pressed, wash curtains or remove for more light.

·         Shine up floors and faucets and regrout tile where needed.

·         Put out some potpourri or candles.

·         Light up the house with warm incandescent bulbs.

·         A colorful throw and matching pillows will brighten any sofa.

·         Clear everything off those counters, show off that work space.

·         New towels in the bathroom will look great.

·         Don’t forget a seasonal wreath or decoration on the front door.
